Thread: Tabac Afershave

A friend gave me a sample of Tabac AS, Does anyone use this? Im not sure how I feel about it yet.

I must say that I usually love to use aftershaves but Tabac is too sweet smelling stuff for me and it lasts too long.

I love Tabac a/s. I will always have it as part of the rotation. It reminds me of growing up in the 70s and my father used to use it once in a while. Nostalgia is part of the appeal for me.

It is a very traditional, alcohol-based aftershave. If you like the scent then you should be ok with it. The scent is pretty strong and will linger so it is not an aftershave that you will be easy to pair with a different cologne.

I use to use it once in a while while I was Mach 3 (spit) shaving. My dad also used it mainly in the summers. I think apart from its very distinctive, strong and masculine scent, it is worth noting that it is very oily and gives a refreshing 'covering' feeling after applying to the face. It burns like hell of course so you have been warned.

Strangely enough, I picked up a small bottle (50ml) this week just to try it out again now that I am shaving properly. If I don't like it, you'll find it in the for sale section of the forums!
