One of the best there is. I have it and I love it. It is very medicinal at first (in a good way). It opens up fairly citrusy with a load of bay (Pimenta racemosa). I do not perceive much of allspice and other notes in support. After a few intense minutes, it fades away and stays in the background for the rest of the day. I find that Royall fades more quickly than other examples. Check these out:

I am not good describing scents but I have it and I like it a lot.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I think this is one of the best on the market. Some bay rums are cinnamony and have a heavy clove scent. Royall does not. It has a more "bay" spice scent. It's great. Prices vary widely, so you may want to shop first.

There is more alcohol in Royall than most other Bay Rums but the scent is OK. I prefer Dominica or Captain Smith or Oggalala and they are half the price. The Royall Musk is top notch.

Its very strong stuff from the high alcohol content but is really very nice. Strong at first but quickly mellows.
If you get it order it from the Distributor in New Jersey on Eboy, its half price. Every now and then they have a deal with 3 8oz bottles for about $60 shipped. No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero
