    Default Aftershave of the Day

    Hello Gents.

I love to use aftershave and use it every morning even if I dont shave...

It gives me a nice pick me up in the morning and wakes me up.

I thought I would share my scent of the day for a while at least ... Now I dont use any expensive AS...just the usual supermarket brands but thought I would share for those who dont know if they want to try ones from supermarkets...

    Today...

Old Spice Classic AS Splash - Reminds me of my Dad ... thats what he used to use. I am only 25 so I know that others say the formula has changed but I still love it. Nice spicey subdued scent. Makes the face feel pretty good. A little dry but not too bad.

If you're looking for a cheap but ridiculously awesome aftershave, check out The Shave Den's aftershave milks. You can get the sample sizes for cheap and try a few different scents. They have a ton to choose from and they work fantastic and last and last - a little goes a long way. You can get them with or without menthol and they are good both ways, it's just up to your preference. They don't burn at all going on which is a nice. They are not quite lotion, but not quite splash, literally a milky feel.

I've also tried samples of their splashes, which are the same scents only in splash form. I like these as well, but I'm more of a milk kind of guy I guess.

o yeah I have a TSD AS Milk...in scent free and also a TSD as splash in pink grapefruit and love them. My wife likes the milk for her legs too...its not greasey or thick...the splashes are really nice and feel great.

I have a few of Joanne's shave milks, hers were some of the first I tried when I joined TSD.

Cap't Smith's Spiced Bay Rum by Body Crystal

Ok so this is not a Supermarket special but it is still not an expensive english AS. I got this one from classic shaving.

I love this bay rum. Really spicey and rummy. Makes me feel like a pirate. Feels good on my skin, especially on non shave days. On shave days its a good stinger if you have any razor burn.

A pat on the neck and cheeks mid day with a damp hand releases some more scent which i like.

This bay rum will always be on hand for me.

Ah... I see where this thread is going.. lol.

05/13/09 - TSD Sandalwood AS milk. It's not a true sandalwood, not even close, but it's nice. Kind of sweet and sort of powdery, almost a soapy scent. I quite like it at any rate. As with all of TSD's milks, IMO, it leaves the skin super soft and not tacky/sticky at all.

Floid Blue is my current favourite just now and at only £15.00 for a 400ml. glass bottle, I slap loads of it on and let the menthol cool my face.Wish the scent would last longer though.

Back to the beautiful Bay Rum

Ogallala Bay Rum Aftershave Splash and Ogallala Bay Rum Special Reserve Double Strength Cologne - very nice I love this bay rum. Not spicy like Dominica or Capt Smith but more sweet. Very nice and I love it. I bought the big jug...22 oz and 8 oz of Special reserve cologne

If you like bay rum you should give Ogallala a shot. I believe he still sells the sample pack of all his bay rums....i really also like the limes and pepercorns...but ill save that for tomorrows ASOTD
