    Default Bottles for homemade aftershave?

What do folks use for bottles when making homemade aftershave, and where do they find them?

It seems that most bottles over a couple of ounces are of the "generic brown Boston round" type. (Not relishing the thought of the bathroom sink looking like a storage closet in a chemisty lab.) With most of the recipes that I've found requiring 8oz bottles or more, I wonder how most folks deal with this.

Here is one place to check:

There was a thread at www.basenotes.com about this. You might check there for more info. It was in the Men's Fragrance area.

I was actually looking at old bottles on ebay the other day. You can get some cool old aftershave bottles or all kinds of other nice looking bottles.

You can find some half way snazzy bottles that will look really cool at Ben Franklin and Hobby Lobby Stores. I've found some in different colors, etching etc. Thats what I use. MikeB

I like the look of miniature crocks and jugs. Miniature crocks are hard to find so I search for tea/sake cups
which are the right size for shaving soaps. Miniature stoneware jugs are a little easier to find, but matching
them is near impossible. I also like the rustic look of this slat box that was once used to sell 3 cheeses.
The big jug holds a little more than 10 ounces and will be used for my homemade Bay Rum. The small jug
holds about 4 ounces and holds my Nivea Sensitive post shave balm. It will take some time for me to find
another jug (close enough to matching) to hold my witch hazel.

IIRC, Hirlau has about a hundred million Pinaud Clubman bottles. He might sell one but probably not.

I've bought hot sauce bottles off amazon. 4 or 5 oz, tabasco bottle-ish. Comes with cap and reducers. They work out very well and don't hurt the pocket book.
