Thanked: 0How to go about receiving samples?
How does one go about receiving samples of shaving supplies. Addresses? Will they send them without first purchasing something from them?

I usually tell them that I have heard about thier products and would they send me a sample so that I can determine if I like them before I purchase.
Most companies are pretty cool about it.

i just send a polite e-mail to customer services and ask, or i ask at the shop (or store? to you guys!)
most companies are very cool about sending samples, otherwise they wouldn't produce them in the first place!

If you're in need of cologne samples, just head to the mall and get them to give you some. My mom knows a lady that works at one of those places, and once every year or so when I walk by there with her, she'll literally give me a bag of the little sample viles. I mean... ONE of those lasts me for months--years, even! The last time I was there I got a couple dozen viles.
I've never tried to get any shaving creams or anything, though, so yeah, try web sites.

Yes, Weilder is right, that is a really good way to go about it. A couple of months ago Chaaaz mentioned a place called Sephora where he gets many of his samples. There happens to be one in the mall down the road, so I went and stocked up on some things I wanted to try. Places like that or the cosmetics counters at any department store can usually give you samples of stuff that the actual company that makes the product will not. I got some LabSeries stuff that way.

Another good way to get samples is to go to Nordstrom. They will decant samples of anything you wish for $1.

Yes I went to Sephora and got a sample of their Anthony shaving cream. Well they gave me two packets which would have been good for 3 shaves each. After one shave threw the crap out. Let me tell you I am parsimonious when it comes to these things but I just couldn't use it.
