Thread: Booster

I dropped in the local Barber/Beauty shop suppply store today (which is sadly ill equipped for shaving) and noticed a product there from Booster which is a Canadian barber supplier that has been in business for 85 years. The bottle was about 500ml of a cool blue liquid and the label read ONLY "Booster - Russian Bear" with a pic of a bear's face. Honestly that was ALL. A side sticker read "Booster - serving Canadian Barbers since 1920"

Now I thought it might be aftershave, but there were also hair tonics on the shelf so I decided to do an internet search to see what I could find ut about it, but could only turn up stuff about Booster Seat Laws and Blind Drunk Russians (go figure). Can anybody shed a light on this stuff?

Charles at qedusa.com has/had Booster items available, but was going to discontinue them. Apparently he had a hard time receiving them without damage. You might check his site and even email him about the Booster products.
