Thanked: 1Bath & Body Works
I'm still new to straight razor shaving products.
Does anyone have anyone have any experience with B&BW shaving products?
I started looking at them when a "friend of a friend" recommended the C.O. Bigelow line of products. I have no experience with them.

Thanked: 1Much appreciated. I did some research. I did an internet search on "Proraso" and found mixed reviews. I'm thinking that purchasing the preshave lotion and the aftershave lotion is worth it (even though I usually swear by Nivea aftershave products). LOL! Part of the fun of this life style is experimenting!

I had used various brands of shave soaps for a while with mixed results. I switched to C.O. Bigelow cream about a month or so ago and I think it makes a great lather with just a hint of glycerin added with the proper amount of water. Slight menthol smell, but otherwise no complaints.

The C.O. Bigelow shave cream is in my top tier of creams. It lathers easily even with my very hard water. The smell is clean (I think it has a clean.....soap smell) and it provides generous cushion/slip during the shave. I like it.

Thanked: 1That's good to know as I have very hard water in my town. The plumbers actually call the water here "Liquid Rock". LOL! I'm of on friday. I may take a trip to B&BW to check out their shaving creams and preshave oils.

I also use the Bigelow/glycerine mix and for my sensitive skin, it's AOK...not to mention $10 for a big tube is alright. It's the best of what I've tried (that I can afford!).

I use the pre-shave oil for sensitive skin. It's not bad, but I think I like a recipie I found for making your own. I'll be doing that after this current bottle runs out. This receipe makes use of castor oil which is slightly on the sticky side. It stays on my face a little better. If you're interested, I'll post the 'super secret formula'.
