Like I said it's just a little shop and she has very limited hours, but I'll find out more for you.

And just because there's no colognes or perfumes permitted, doesn't mean washing is discouraged. It's for the hypoalergenic types af which there are a few. it's refreshing not to be assaulted by somebody's idea of a nice perfume. For deodorant, the crystal deodorant stick has no scent, works amazingly well and lasts a looooooooooooong time. One $7.99 stick goes for about 6-7 YEARS of daily use!!!!

There's a Nigerian Green Musk available on this site for what looks like a pretty reasonable price.

I'll wait until Xman chimes in with his source (and then probably buy both;-).

Perfect candidates to meet the operating end of a fire hose.

You need to start frequenting the Health Food stores and Natural product type places. The places that Granola's and Vegetarians go. Those wacky All Natural places with vitamin supplements and a dozen kinds of tofu(yum). New York's a little "Liberal", right? Ask the girl behind the counter with hair ties and all the peircings (wonder where else they go), or the guy with dreadlocks and tattooed on sleaves. But, if they offer you a copy of Socialist Worker just don't get scared and run back to your Conservative closet. Couldn't hurt to read could it?

The Crystal Stone comes just on its own or in a traditional underarm dispenser. Since it's used wet the stone is slippery and will drop and break into a million shards. Go for the dispenser style even if it costs more. Like I say, my last one lasted about 7 years. The wife and I share hers now. Looks like it'll go until the text decade, but then both of us are on it so I could be wrong.

    Lightbulb Musky Men

So I've finally spoken to Yvonne at Vibes in Toronto who said she has various sizes of essential oils available. The standard 2 dram ? 10 ml goes for $14 and has the roll applicator, or 25 ml for $29 without applicator. She even has 100, 125 ml or 240 ml (8 oz and that one comes in a plastic bottle. Shipping is $6-10 depending on how much you order plus a service charge for the bubble wrap and such since they are glass bottles, but obviously the more you buy the better the deal.

She doesn't have e-mail so you have to call her (416) 971-5321 to order and arrange payment (she suggested money order) and delivery (Canada Post Express). Her times are very limited in the shop. Tuesdays and Thursdays 5-8pm and Saturdays 3-8pm EST, but you might catch her there on a Friday or Sunday if you're lucky.

She said that it was not in her interest to reveal her source, but did admit that in New York there were Muslim guys on the street would sell some of the oils that she sells down in the village around 4th street. With the weather colder now they might not be there now but you could keep an eye out next spring and summer, Rich.

She also said some people dilute the oils, which is not preferred of course, and that there is sometimes some confusion with the name. It is known as Nigerian Musk, but because it IS green it is sometimes called Green Musk even though there is another musk called Green Musk as well. To avoid confusion she calls it Nigerian Green Musk.

All in all, I suspect it's too much ado to get it from Yvonne when it's likely the same stuff as Mr. B's sells, but if you want to be 100% sure it's the lady killer I'm wearing you can get it from both and compare. I'm glad I just have to go down to the market myself.

You don't have to wear essential oils, you can warm them over a candle to scent the whole room. That's a great use for the sweeter scents. Another great thing about them is that they will NEVER get older, only better.

I use Natural Crystal's Deodorant Stick. Picked it up at a local whole foods / natural pharmacy. An interesting experience.

    Hi,

I've used the crystal deodorants on and off for several years, and I prefer the crystal to a more "normal" type. The natural crystal does not interfer with cologne scents. Please make sure that you read the directions that come with it and follow them. If you don't use as directed they may not work.

    Tim
