    Default Aftershave on wet skin

    Hello gents...

When I shaved this morning I decided to use my CHH Tobaco aftershave... To make long story short, it is alcohol based aftershave and I have sensitive skin... I usually avoid alcohol based aftershaves, but this one has just great scent which my girlfriend happens to like...

So, after I rinsed the remaining lather and splashed my face with cold water I immediately applied aftershave, when my skin was still wet... I wasn't cheap on aftershave and I really did put enough of it... It didn't sting, my skin was nice and dry in a matter of seconds and the smell lasted waaay longer than normal...

Anybody had simmilar experience with the aftershave?

It has never occurred to me to use aftershave on wet skin. I'll try it and let you know what I think. Thanks for the tip.

I always use witch hazel first thin AS. So yes, I put the AS on wet skin.

Ditto! Never thought to do it dry.

I try to have my skin dry to make sure that I get a decent sting from my Witch Hazel.

IMHO, if you get a sting from witch hazel, even though it may contain a small amount of alcohol, you probably need to work on your shaving technique.

Tried my aftershave wet the last two days. There was no sting at all. I used much more than usual and the smell was not overpowering. So, to sum it up, I didn't feel anything (I like the burn) and it uses up my AS faster. Having a hard time seeing the upside, here.
