Thread: gabel's menthol mint cream?

i just bought some today. it sure soothes your skin after. the owner of the barber supply shop says i could use it as a pre shave step too. he says it helps open the poors? is this true? or would this product only be good as a soothing after shave cream?

Well the purpose of an AS is to tone, disinfect, soothe and moisturize( the good ones anyway). In regards to toning, you are making the pores close
up, so I doubt it'll act as a pre shave.

I use Gabel's lather concentrate in my lather machine. Much creamier than the Campbells concentrate.
