Default A little confused...AS/EDT/EDC...what does it all do??

Okay, being doing my research and well I am still a little stumped.

My questions is if you use say a Bay Rum/Pinaud/Aqua Velva AS can you use a EDT/EDC on top of it?

Or are you going to end up smelling like a refugee from the perfume counter???

Or do you just use the AS to smell "nice" and attract the ladies to your BBS smooth cheeks???

I don't use these particular aftershaves and usually I use EdT/EdC for the smell, the aftershave for the skin conditioning.
But my aftershaves' scents don't usually last long and the few that do I match a fragrance that I like how it combines with them.

    It breaks down like this:

    AS: 4%-8% oil by volume
    EDC: 8%-12% oil by volume
    EDT: 12%-17% oil by volume
EDP (Eu de Parfume, rarely seen): 17%-21% oil by volume
    Parfume: 24% and up

Technically the manufactuer should use the exact oil / chemical blend for each but in the different concentrations as shown above. The only problem is that sometimes this works and sometimes this doesn't. What I mean is that in adjusting the concentration levels it can alter the scent but usually not by much.

The only way to ever really know is to search for samples and try them out and see if they work with your body chemistry.
