Well I got a couple of you telling me that you use it and never got that smell so that's enough to tell me I might just be a little bit weird. Oh well. LOL

It depends on the brand. They all smell a little different. I've tried many but none smelled like tequila to me.

I have a bottle of the Dickinson's as well (got it at the local Walmart) and I will say it does have a "different" smell to it. It doesn't smell like tequila (I should know, I HATE that stuff) but it's still odd. I wasn't sure I was going to like it when I first tried it, and I still don't LIKE it, but it doesn't bother me anymore.

I look forward to trying a few of the Thayer scented WH's at some point

I think he uses it right after the tequila.

Alcohol and shaving don't mix.... yet there are so many alcohol based aftershaves. HA.....HA...............HA.

I could use the tequila in place of the bay rum.

    I smell it too!

I've been wondering what the witch hazel smell reminds me of and, by golly, that's it. It's not identical by any means, but it has that same, sort of salty, smell I associate with the after taste of Jose Cuervo.

I actually don't use the alum and I just use the cold water and witch hazel. Then to the AS balm. I do want to try the alum though.
