Clubman Pinaud aftershave
Has anybody used this aftershave?
I heard its nice, but I'm leery about using anything with alcohol. It brings to mind a line from the Princess Bride: "why don't you just give me a paper cut and pour lemon juice in it!" Or pouring it on your face after shaving.
But my barber used it once and it smelled great. I've just never used it on my face before.
Does it burn bad? Or is it best to use a balm?
Clubman Pinaud Aftershave
Gentlemen,
Clubman aftershave by Pinaud has been a must in my aftershave world for more years than I can recall. After all, Clubman is a way of life. For me, not the Bay Rum version, however. I dislike Bay Rum of any kind. I prefer the good old standard Clubman. My barber used to use it way back in the 14th century. Yes, it does burn a little, as does any aftershave with alcohol, but I welcome that burn.

Obie
Clubman Pinaud Aftershave
My dear Paul,
Your imaginative reference to Pinaud's Lilac Vegetable gave me a chuckle. I used to have that in my aftershave stash until my wife and two daughters all said it reminded them of public toilets.
Too bad, because I had a special fondness for Lilac Vegetable: it always reminded me of my opera-singing barber of long ago.
Thanks for the chuckle.
Regards,
Obie
