Thread: Disappointed With C.O.Bigelow Bay Rum After Shave & Cologne

I recently ordered some of C.O.Bigelows Bay Rum after shave balm & cologne and alls I can say is both products were a sad disappointment, the after shave resembles a cheap greasy hand cream with a slight Bay Rum scent, and the almost $40.00 a bottle cologne (4.3oz) has very little if any Bay Rum scent and soon disappears after 1 hour of wear. Has anyone heard any good things about a Bay Rum after shave & cologne called Ogallala?, they make a Special Reserve Double strength Bay Rum that they claim will stick with you.

Ogalla is great stuff. Scent wise. Yes, the double strength lasts. I have it, but need to get rid of it. Burns my skin too much. Many have no issues at all. The regular AS doesn't burn me as bad. It really stinks, because the smell I and the lady LOVE!! Also, the is the only BR I've ever won, so I have no comparisons for you. If your order from there, try the Limes and Peppercorns.

Ogallala makes many wonderful products, I have not found one yet that I don't like. They have a good handful of bay rum based sents for you to pick from and a couple great sampler pack so you can try them all and find out what you like. Between that and the fact that John at Ogallala has a good habit of throwing in extras with each order, it hard to beat. I'd also like to throw Dominica out there as a great Bay Rum, either the regular or the Bay Rum Lime.

Have to admit that I have not tried Bigelow's Bay Rum but I do like their "Elixer Red" Ogallala make a great Bay Rum and I am partial to the double strength. By the way even the best Bay Rums fade a little until you warm up, then your body heat will release some of the oil's scent.
