    Default Dead Sea products

    Hi All,

I've recently been using an Ahava body soap and I really like it - so was thinking about trying one of their moisturizers:
AHAVA Men Line | AHAVA Hand Cream | After Shave | Dead Sea Mall

    Has anyone used one before?

    Cheers,
I love the smell of shaving cream in the morning!

I'm curious what "Dead Sea Minerals" are in these products. It is called the Dead Sea for a reason.

It is called the dead sea because the salt content is so high, that nothing can live in it.

I have been there before on a trip to Israel. The salt content is so high that one floats! A really enjoyable experience. But it sure is painful if you have even the smallest of cuts!

There is mud by the dead sea that is good for the skin, often sold as mud masks. It is said to have healing properties, though I am not sure of how true it is.

Yes, it's called 'dead' because of the salt. That's the only thing that it has that other seas do not.

For information: Dead Sea - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It has about 33.7% salinity and s 8.6 times more salty than the ocean. For references see the link above.

Interesting thread though. We see these products popping up everywhere here in the UK. Their hand washes and so on are excellent for people with eczema.
