    Default the art of shaving

Has anyone tried the art of shaving products? Which products did you use and how did you like them?

I have an AOS TI which I got as a gift. A good razor, shame about the AOS etching!

I have AOS Lavender cream also. This is good stuff, but there are certainly better creams out there,TOBS, CF, Prorasso and Olivias to name a few.

I also have a small travel brush from the AOS which I believe is pure badger.

All in all they are good products, or at least the ones I have tried. I rarely use the lavender cream there days though. What were you thinking of getting?

I have tried the AOS Aftershaves balm and gel. I much prefer the gel. It is lighter, absorbs quickly and does a great job. I prefer the Unscented version, but the lavender and sandalwood smell very nice.

I tried the Sandalwood cologne and it smells nice. It is potent so a little went a long way on me. When I eventually run out of Sandalwood Edts, I would consider buying it again, although I prefer Diptyque Tam Dao's Sandalwood over AOS.

Overall, AOS has quality products which just tend to be a bit overpriced, in my opinion. That being said, they are a good value if you can catch them on sale.

How does the gel fair when it comes to giving a good face-covering all day long? Does it give you an itchy sort of feeling when it's worn-off during the day/evening?

I've tried the cream and the aftershave balm. The balm is too heavy for me personally. The cream is pretty good but I like CF better.

I agree. Their balm is way too greasy and heavy. Also, it leaves a certain 'glow' to your face, giving you the "I've just moisturised!" look.

    Default Stop right there!

The logical progession would have been to use AOS then TOBS.

If you like TOBS I think you will be disappointed with AOS products. I tried AOS then TOBS and TOBS creams are superior by quite a bit in terms of latherability and cushion. I have TOBS soap which is decent, but have not tried AOS soap.

AOS aftershaves I have not tried but have TOBS bay rum and Victorian lime and love them both.

If you're looking for a cream try another brand.
