    Default Czech and Speake Sampler

Czech & Speake of Jermyn Street, London

They have a cologne/perfume sample that you can pay about 10 bucks for (shipped). You get 10 cologne/perfume samples (the vials) and some brochures.

Cuba, Oxford and Cambridge, and Frankincense and Myrrh are incredible scents for men. If they weren't so expensive I'd buy all three. Classic and masculine.

No. 88 is a little more floral but still masculine enough to wear. They advertise it as unisex.

Neroli is too mild for my tastes, but might be good for the summer time. Masculine enough, but again is pushed to be unisex.

Rose, Dark Rose, Mimosa are clearly perfumes for women, but smell great. I gave them to the old lady to try.

Joeman recommended this to me so I thought I'd pass it on. It's a great way to get some exposure to a classic line without bucking up to try 'em out only to learn you hate the scent.

    Cheers,

    Ogie

I got the Neroli over Christmas as a gift to my mother. She loved it!! As an asthmatic, she can't take certain smells, especially if they are very 'artificial' as she describes them.

I have to say though, of all the Neroli fragrances, this has to be the most floral, most original one I can tell. Having grown up in the Mediterranean, smelling these flowers was just a normal occurrence for her, so she can appreciate just how unique the C&S Neroli is.

An even better deal for U.K. folks as it's £2.50 for the samples and a £5 voucher e-mailed to you.

yep c&s is high quality stuff. rather potent as well.
I got samples of 88, cuba, and oxford&cambridge may be a bit over a year ago and bought the aftershave version of 88 (still way too powerful so I use it as a perfume).
recently got the sample set to try the rest of them. the frankincens&myrrh reminds me of dunhill 1934, but it's clearly a different thing, more refined for sure.
the o&c is rather nice lavender, but i don't care to wear it and cuba is a bit weak on my skin.
neroli is nice and so is citrus paradisi, if you're into citrussy type of scents should definitely try them.
the women's part is equally nice, and i think few men may even be able to pull off the dark rose.

and yes, samples are the way to go.

Yes indeed, C&S are powerful stuff... Gotta be careful how much ya put on else you'll end up with a nasty headache, lol.

I particularly like the No. 88 and the Neroli.

I forgot about the voucher... we get that in the states too. You guys probably get more bang for your buck (pound) though.

I was e-mailed a voucher after the samples were delayed by about 8 months. Forgot I even ordered them! I thought it was only a few that got the voucher though. Mine expired on the last day of 2009 and I didn't use it in the end. Shame though as it would have brought the cost of a No. 88 shaving soap down by 25%.

I liked most of the scents, with No.88 and Oxford & Cambridge being my two particular favourites, but unfortunately none of the scents lasted more than two minutes once they hit my skin.

I agree on longevity. None of them last long on me either

I have the exact opposite opinion, in particular on O&C. That one stayed with me until I got home from work. I'll be buying some when funds allow.
