    Default Ogallala Bay Rum Products

    Bay rum typcially hasn't been my scent, but it's started to grow on me as I have used it in the Robeson prep method (been using Pinaud bay rum). Consequently, I've been looking around at other bay rums. The Ogallala seems to make a good number of appearances in SOTD pics and posts.

    Specifically, I'd like feedback on the Limes and Peppercorn version and the version with Sandalwood added. Do the additional scents compliment the underlying bay rum, or do they detract from it? Which do you like best (for those who have tried both)? Any and all feedback is appreciated! Heck, the bottles are so cool I'll probably end up getting one of everything anyway!

    All the Ogallala products are really of a high quality. My favorite is the Original Bay Rum and Bay Rum/Sandalwood. I don't care for the limes/peppercorn at all. Others love it. This becomes a very personal thing. However one thing can be told for sure. They are all top notch products.
    Even my wiener dog agrees with the Ogallala wiener wash

    +1 with my Bro Mad Max except I do like the Limes and Peppercorns not as much as the others, but I like it, the others I love hehehe

    Might want to try out his Shave soap too while you are ordering...

    For me the straight bay rum is a little too much but I really love the combination with sandalwood! I also like the limes/peppercorn for use in the spring or warmer weather. If you try one of the aftershaves I am sure you can request a sample of the other. The price of the aftershaves are very reasonable and are witch hazel based. Never a burn. Good Luck.

    Same as Max and Glen! Lime & Peppercorns is my least favorite of OBR. The Bayrum & Sandalwood is the best but the Bayrum & Lemongrass is excellent also.

    Fave = w/Sandalwood
    2nd = original
    3rd = Limes & Peppercorn

    Definitely try out the soap sampler too, unlike any other soap I've tried, and very good too, just work with it to find your preferred consistency.

    I've only used the straight, but after reading these comments , I may try the others. I do recommend the straight Bay Rum and it is very different from Clubman's. It would probably be a pleasant surprise.

    I love the bay rum original myself. Can't go wrong with that or the s-wood.

    Thanks for the help! I've also got a sampler of GFT products coming...this could be an expensive (but great smelling) month

    The only one I do not buy is the limes & peppercorn. Least favorite.
    I like the original and W/ Sandalwood for aftershaves but prefer the double strength special reserve as a cologne.
