Thread: Skin Relief Treatment

I was given some of Paula Begoun's Skin Relief Treatment ("Paula's Choice" brand, www.cosmeticscop.com and click on the "Men's Skin Care" link) and gave it a try. I was pretty impressed.

Basically, this is a post-shave treatment that includes a topical asprin, willowherb, and green tea, among other ingredients. The entire line is designed to be skin-friendly, and doesn't contain alcohol or anything that could harm your skin.

I found that it did reduce any after-shaving irritation, and I'd be inclined to try some of her other products. The skin relief also has the advantage of not smelling like anything at all (perfumes would be an extra ingredient). I used it both with and without skin food after, with good results.

One down side, potentially, is that it's a clear liquid, rather than a cream. So, while I suppose you can just put some in your hands and splash it on, I was told you should use a pad of some sort so as not to waste any. It also strikes me as marginally expensive, but then again, so is skin food and any of the imported colognes.

I should also note that their product comes from Washington State by horsedrawn carriage to a ship around Cape Horn (Okay, ground shipping), so it sometimes takes a while for it to actually get to you. I don't know if upgrades are an option. Order fulfillment before shipping is usually 1-2 days.
