Thanked: 4Shower Gel, &c.?
Hi,
I know this isn't the 100 percent accurate place to put this but I wanted to make sure it was seen by as many as possible.
My grocery story recently stopped carrying my favorite shower gel so I have tried a couple of other brands to disastrous results.
Admittedly, I am kind of a snooty purist with a longing for stuff from the past but, really, this supermarket-grade crap is terrible and I just refuse to go to work smelling like a teenager anticipating amorous intimacy on his first date.
Therefore, does anyone have any recommendations for some really nice smelling soap or shower gel? I don't mind modern scents at all but, surely, there is an economically sensible alternative to buying the $50.00 shower gel scented with my favorite cologne.
Thanks,
Derek

I like these from classic shaving Men's Bath & Body Essentials
They come in a variety of scents, not too overpowering, and the bar lasts me several weeks, much longer than a bottle of shower gel would.

Shower Gel . . .
Hello, DerekW:
Tron8251's suggestion for Pre de Provence is sound. Their soaps are high quality and good for the skin. I also recommend L'Occitane soaps and gels and Provence Sante Verlaine soaps. All these fine products are loaded with shae butter and have subtle scents that are quite pleasing.
Regards,
Obie

Thanked: 1903I like Bronnley products, and got mine from here (while the € was still strong against the GBP): The Gentleman's Shop Ltd Bath & Shower Products.

I really like Fragonard...Santal especially is excellent. But they are expensive, so for meat least it tends to be an indulgence rather than for everyday use.
