Great great grandfathers aftershave
For my 15th b day my great grandmother gave me a aftershave, cologne combo set from her late father from the 70s i thought some of you older people might remember these .

my grandmother had the same set of decanters in her collection.. you just brought back some childhood memories.

Great looking set but if there's anything in them, I wuoldn't use them. They've got to be pretty nasty by now.

Actually they are both 3/4 of the way full ( he died before he could use them) And the stuff in there still smells great i cant wait to use it before a date ( I guess should get a girl before i plan the cologn im gonna use o my date LOL)

does that stuff go rancid or anything? i'd imagine if kept in a cool place it would be fine.. i know some people who age their old spice..

I cant imagine that this type of stuff would go bad since theres so much achocal ( cant spell) in it . So far my stuff Still smells good , I was really impressed to recive such a cool 15th b day present.

It has had a cap on it for all these years, and I don't know of much that can live in that much alcohol. Put a little dab on your wrist, and if it doesn't burn like the devil, and/or smell nasty, I'd say you just had a great 15th birthday!

smells great and no burn
it smells really good and has no burn so i think this combined with the shave mug and brush make for a great b day < Also i got some new hunting equipment yay me.

I must admit that I've never smelled decades old aftershave/cologne, so I don't really have a frame of reference. But I also don't think it would go rancid, given proper storage conditions and no contaminents.
