I can highly recommend Peter Thomas Roth Ultra-Lite Oil-Free Sunblock SPF 30. A bit pricey, but I've been using it for years and it has great water-binding properties, and a thin non-oily finish that you won't notice minutes after applying.
Correction: actually, they're calling it "Uber-dry Sunscreen SPF 30" now.

to revive this thread.. i found a tube of body shop moisturizer with spf under the bathroom sink this morning.. i havn't a chance to shave yet and will probably wait till noon or 1pm when the day is at it's hottest..

i did throw on the moisturizer anyway though.. it's very light and lovely.. and i'm liking it so far..

however.. only an application after a fresh shave can really tell..

anyway.. it's from the body shop.. "soy and calendula soothing moisturizer with spf 15" says it's for dry/sensitive skin.. i have neither.. but so far i'm digging it.

Going a little off-topic here, but Stu, care to post a review of this product in the review section?

I wonder - as a post shave treatment, does it cover the skin well and last into the evening on your skin? Some moisturisers give me an 'itchy' feeling after a while; it almost feels as if the product is wearing off or maturing on my skin. I should mention though that my skin is a combination of dry/sensitive. Thanks again!

No worries, glad I could help..!

I personally prefer Trumpers sandalwood skin food as an AS balm. Theres no reason why you couldnt use the moisturiser, its just a little bit too greasy to have on my face all day. Just my personal preference!

For dry skin it could work pretty well though.

I guess all I can suggest is grab some and give it a try! If you like it, great! And if not you've got a really good product there to use as a pre-shave lotion.

Let me know what you think of it if you get some!

I agree with you on the skin food, although my preference is the coral. It works a treat with the Rose soap.

For those of you following this story, I bought some Matte for Men. It's expensive but by god does it do what it says it does. Spf 25, doesn't break out my extrememly acne-prone skin, and keeps me from looking greasy by the end of a hard day on the sales floor. Very reccommended. Only problem is that if you have an active club life your face will glow green in the blacklight.
