My Dad was in the first battalion of the Sea Bees in WWII and worked with a guy who became a good buddy - Callahan by name. He was from New York and Dad said until he knew him for a while he couldn't figure out why, if he cut his finger it was a saw and the tool he cut himself with was a sore. Then he remembered that Callahan was from New York.
