Thanked: 14Dermalogica anyone?
Anyone ever tried this stuff? The little lady got me a sample pack with the works in it.
It works pretty well, but I'm curious how it holds up to anything else you guys have tried in comparison.
Before this, I just used some Castle Lime soap for a good lather.

I have never used any of their shave products, but for the longest time, I used to use their facial cleansers and moisturizers. I remember liking the products, until I figured out that high end, fancy skin products irritated my skin much more than plain soap/water.
I would be interested to hear about their shave products though.

Thanked: 14They're quite nice. They have a "guard cream" in addition to their pre-shave cleanser.
You just put the shaving cream on top of the guard and it helps protect the skin.
I was just curious if they were really worth the extra money when compared to various other products.

I am going to look into this "guard cream" and see what it is all about.
I would guess that these products are overpriced, but that is subjective Individual preference will vary. As an example, many find the Art of Shaving aftershave very overpriced, but to me, its performance justifies the cost.

Thanked: 45I have the pre-shave guard and yes it is overpriced at I think around $25 a tub. But a little goes a long ways.
The Eucalyptus smell and slight menthol is awesome. Unfortunately, I haven't used any other pre shave stuff so I can't say if it's better worse or irrelevant.
Any case, post back on you opinions.

I have been using the Dermalogica Close Oil Shave for a few years, the small bottle lasts for a very long time. I get a very good shave, and it provides a good cushion. about $20 per bottle.
