    Default Just rec'd my Ogallala!

My Sampler pack from Ogallala Bay Rum came in today! They even threw in a few samples. Boy, there are some great smelling bottles here folks at a great price. My wife likes all of them which is a huge relief.

I'll post more info as I get through them.

Thanks, to the gang at Ogallala!

I have the Ogagalla bay rum & sandalwood and the BR, peppercorn & limes. this stuff rocks. I actually like it for a fall scent. I have the smaller bottles too and the shave stick. I use it for travel most times. I'm heading to Colorado Springs thursday and it's going to be bay rum all the way!

Great stuff, Ogallala although I have to say I don't care for the sandlewood or the lime& peppercorn. But the original Bay Rum can't be beat. As for staying power, that's where it falls down. It doesn't last very long. To get it to last more than an hour requires using an overpowering amount.

Well now, I'm having a bit different experince with the staying power. I used it at 4pm yesterday, and it lasted all through the night. In fact, there is still a slight scent lingering as I type this morning at 7:45. I used the Original Bay Rum.

They sent me some extras like I mentioned:

Air Freshener: This stuff was awesome for a few hours, then went away, but most other air fresheners do too. I'll be buying the large bottles of it for sure.

Bath Soap: OK, first off I'm a liquid soap guy. Haven't used a bar in many years. They sent me a small piece of the Cedar & Sage Bay Rum, so I used it yesterday. I am really floored by how soft my skin still feels today. They dub it a shampoo soap as well, so I went ahead with that too. My hair today feels like it was ultra conditioned. I am a fan of Ogallala I believe.

Now I really wish I had tried their shaving soap too. That will be on the next order.

The sample pack is really inexpensive @ $15.95 for the 5 2 oz bottle sampler. Get some and give it a try.

The cologne is more potent than the after shave and I find it is longer lastng. Which did you use?

I used the aftershave yesterday. Wifey just did the neck sniff test. Said it is gone now, but was still present at 1am. I must be smelling the soap still. Today I will use the special reserve cologne this morning before work and see how it does today.

I gotta say I love ogallala, what can I say I'm a sucker for extra "presents". I bought two of the 17.5 oz mega bottles of aftershave limes&peppercorn, sandle wood plus the sample pack, and assorted other thing to get me to the free shipping level. I love all of the scents but the cedar&sage, that they included as a extra as it was a new product, is my favorite along with the original. I also fine the staying power somewhat lacking with the colonge but the special reserve double strength is somewhat better. I bought the shaving soap sampler, great smell but poor lather, though I will have to try again. I will continue to do business with this great company and hope they increase their lines up with more great scents.

Ogallala is a great smelling bay rum. The vendor, who is an SRP member, is also great at adding samples to your purchase to give you some idea of the varieties of bay that are produced under that moniker.

Enjoy your purchase. I know that I have.

OK, so the fragrances are awesome and get approval from SWMBO, however, as mentioned above, staying power is seriously lacking.

I applied the Lime & peppercorn (awesome fragrance BTW) at 12:30 today and now at 4:30 there is no trace according to the sniffer. lol So just a couple hours is all we get from it. I'm pretty bummed. I love the stuff, but having to reapply all the time seems like something I don't want to have to deal with.

Someone recommend something with some STAYING power please!
