    Default Where to test?

So, I now have a straight setup and everything is going great. Getting successful shaves, and learning more every time.

I am now wanting to add some aftershave to my routine; well, some good aftershave. I have some Gillette lotion that I have had for a LONG time and am just using that. I think I got it for like .90 cents (or is it 90 cents?) at Walgreens some time ago. It is adequate for conditioning my face after a shave, but I would like something better, more 'sophisticated', if you will, to go with the straight / wet shaving routine. The wife doesn't like the way it smells either, which doesn't help.

I was looking at the Truefitt & Hill and Castles Forbes items on SRD. They are pricey but seem nice. Of course, one would not make such a purchase unless seeing what the smell like and all.

My question is: where is a good place to test these items, or similar ones? I am in Tallahassee, FL. Don't know if anyone knows of any locally or can recommend some main steam department stores to check out. I never go to them.

    Thanks,

Yes, such is the folly of ordering scented products online. It can be hard to justify spending a decent sum of $$ to buy a scent you haven't even had the priviledge of sampling.

Your best bet would be to contact one of our esteemed vendors. I know a few of them will provide samples. Failing that you can always try contacting the manufacturers themselves. I think T&H and Trumpers used to put out a sample pack; perhaps they still do.

Cool, thanks for the advice, Ryan. I am still figuring out everything about SRP. How do I find out who the vendors are?

The easiest would be to click on the sponsor logos, as the sponsors are all trusted vendors. You can also check out the Vendor's Corner forum. If trying to contact an mfg it would probably be best to just google the company name.

    Default Truefitt & Hill Samples

Truefitt & Hill has sample packs for a reasonable price, shipping included.

Go with the sample packs. I liked them all, even the ones I thought I wouldn't like. Perhaps I am just easy to please.
