best lime cologne/aftershave?
I've recently been uisng Trumper's Extract of Limes aftershave but is it just me or does it smell very similar to lemon furniture oil / pledge....
Selecting a favourite citrus scent is a personal thing, but I'm looking for recommendations based on your personal experience with this category of fragrances. Thanks!

Thanked: 3I love Lime stuff. I'm shaving by 5 am and the boost of a good limes makes me happy.
Often the more pure the Essential Oil, the stronger the cleaning product association can be. Each guy is different.
One of the best skin treatments and light scent is Castle Forbes Limes. Pure single lime note. Every guy should try this especially now that you can get it in the travel size.
I tried the T&H limes balm. It's good. It does not do a lot for the skin besides moisturize (no toning, no disinfecting). It's a very sweet lime scent. Very sweet.
I like and use the AOS lemon gel aftershave. Not strongly scented, but works well enough and dries non sticky. I tried the lemon balm and found it too oily and thick. If you have dry skin this may be for you.
The king of lime scents is Penhaligon's extract of limes. Some say it is fleeting, but I think it is perfect. One of my all time favorites.

Oolong;
Bingo, you’ve nailed it. I have some too and I rely on my sisters to tell me how good or bad something smells. They usually don’t hold back and have come up with some very descriptive comparisons over the years. Furniture polish, Giant Baby, Midge doll etc. I guess Midge was one of Barbie’s friends, I dunno. I know don’t want to smell like Midge or Giant Baby.
Big sisters can be brutal and know just what buttons to push. They seemed to agree on the Penhaligons, Blenheim Bouquet AS. It is not over powering. More juniper-ee, it smells like gin and tonic to me with some citrus tones. It is a little $$. The bay rums are nice AS. Some of those have some added lime scent (Dominican). The AS after shaves will flash off quicker due to the alcohol content.
The bay rums can get a little “Clovey” as Big sis say’s. Musgo Real and La Toja smell the same “ Barbershop”. I can live with Barbershop and Clovey. If your looking for something a little more tailored you might contact ALRAZ. If you PM him and ask him nice he’ll probably send you a sample. You can always try making up some of your own Boy Butter too. I have. That can be ,,,, entertaining.

I really like the Trumpers lime, but a lot of each scent is personal preference as well..!
I think Castle Forbes do one, and I remember that being pretty darn good, so have a look at that one.

I'm a big fan of the vintage Old Spice Lime cologne.

Best lime cologne . . .
Hello, oolong:
If I may suggest, try the Taylor of Old Bond Street No. 74 Victoria Lime. The fragrance is fresh and pleasing in its complexity.
Also, you might like No. 6 by Caswell-Massey. It's a little lighter, and very nice for mornings. Caswell-Massy says the No. 6 was designed for President George Washington — and that makes it extra special in my book.
I have used both for years, and will continue to do as my citrus aftershaves.
Regards,
Obie

Also don't forget the Royall Lime. It's pretty potent stuff.
