T & H Classic unscented aftershave balm
Anyone have issues with this balm? I applied it this morning after a shave with a fresh feather and it stung like the dickens. I actually had to wash it off it hurt so much. Is that just sensitive skin on my part?

It depends on the alcohol content. DBR only has 55%, so it's bearable, but Paco Rabanne has 70%, which makes it a REAL scorcher. I only use it when going out, which is almost never these days, due to my job.

Actually Old Spice gave me less of a sting than Paco even though it has about the same alc content.

After shave balms, like most shaving products, affect different folks in different ways. It is possible that you are sensitive to one or more of the ingredients...possibly the lanolin?
Good luck,

Well this was my first attempt with a feather, but there was little blood! I guess that my skin was probably more exfoliated than I expected. I can't say if I've tried another product with lanolin, but I do know that I don't have a problem with Trumpers Skin Food (coral or lime) and witch hazel works great for me.

I also really like Skin Food (both types) and witch hazel. I've never had either one sting even when applied directly over a cut.
Before passing final judgement on the Classic Balm, try applying it to a small section of your neck (unshaved portion) or forearm. This should tell you if you are particularly sensitive to the product vs. it stinging due to razor burn. I should mention that I have heard of several individuals that cannot use this particular product because of reactions to it.
