Thanked: 4942Bay Rum From ClassicShaving
Hi Guys,
Just tried the Caribbean imported Bay Rum from ClassicShaving. For all you Bay Rum folks, this stuff is great. Nice aroma that stays around for awhile.
I also tried one of their Ayate' Soap Pouches. This was pretty neet. Put one of Colleen's bars of Soap in it and had a great exfoliation going.

Lynn,
Thanks for mentioning this. I've been thinking
of ordering a bottle. The fact that it sticks around
a while is the selling point for me. I love Bay Rum.

Thanked: 1Bay Rum Cologne For Men
Nice!
The minute I saw this post I went to their site and ordered myself a bottle.
I have been looking for something like this, unfortunately none of the local stores carry anything like this; extra special with a hint of lime.
Thank you for the heads up!

Lynn,
On Classic, I found Taylor's Classic Bay Rum, Dominican Bay Rum Aftershave and Dominican Bay "Lime" Cologne.
Which one of these did you buy?
Thanks,
Tom

I would guess that Lynn bought one of the Dominican's.
It's the only one produced in the Caribbean.
Pinaud is made in the USA and I would think that
Taylor's comes from England.

Thanked: 1Aftershave or Cologne
I just checked the site and there are two Dominica products one aftershave and one cologne. I did not see the Aftershave when I checked the site a couple of days ago. So I purchased the cologne.
This raises the question, "What the difference is between their aftershave and cologne as both are categorized as lotions and their respective descriptions are almost identical?"

lime in it.
I'm definately going to try the AS in the very near future.

Thanked: 4I have been very pleased with the Bay Rum from saintcharlesshave.com. It's been described on SMF as "Bay Rum on steroids" which is maybe not quite accurate, but a little goes a long way. Another lady who does justice to discriminating gentlemen.

Thanked: 1Cologne vs Aftershave Revisited
The Bay Rum Cologne I ordered arrived and it smells great. I really like the hint of lime (throughout the day I keep looking for "my lost shaker of salt" and I imagine shots of tequila lined up on the counter here at work)
Now for my question....
Dominca Aftershave vs Dominca Cologne
I guess what I am really after is, "Is it okay to apply cologne to my face after I shave?" (hence "aftershave")
Is it NOT recommended to use cologne in this manner? And if not, why so?
On a side note...
I also noticed ClassicShaving.com has posted posted a new item, Bay Rum "Spice" Aftershave.
Oh, and by the way this stuff is imported by a company located here in San Diego. I may take a drive and visit the store and find out what else they offer.
Thanks for the kind responses!!
