Memories of Days Gone By
Some of my best memories are of going to the Barber Shop through the last 48 years. I remember getting my first hair cut and sitting on a paddle board so the Barber could cut my hair. One of my rites of passage was when I was big enough to finally sit in the barber chair without the board.
Later when I had my own two sons...I got to experience the same memories with them. Now that my son's are both grown, we talk about going to the barber shop and how the smell of the place made it a warm and comfortable place to share conversation and relax.
It was the memory of these smells and experiences that led me to purchase straight razors for my sons and myself. I was even fortunate enough to have gone to the Barber Shop with my Dad and two sons at the same time. Every time I shave and use the Clubman aftershave...I am a younger man all over again.
Ahhhh....the memories of days gone by....

Thanked: 5It's amazing how fragrances can trigger memories for us. Aftershave in general always make me think of my grandfather. The really cheap Stetson cologne makes me think of him too because he always gave the boys a gift pack of that stuff for christmas. Man, when I put that stuff on I felt like a million bucks. Now, the scent that make me think of him the most is Coors Light. Ha ha.
