    Default How Much?!

What is the "right" amount of AS to apply after a nice shave? I know this is subjective, but I was curious. I usually use a quarter sized "puddle" in my palm then rub into both hands and then apply to my face and neck. Is there a hard and fast rule for this? Not trying to sound like a dork, but curious what others do.....

Thats about what I do for most of my splashes but it depends which one. I use a bit less Clubman because quite powerful. I use a lot more Boosters Sage, it feels and smells great but the scent fades pretty quick.

I'm in GreenLight's camp. It just depends on what I'm using. For example, with Aqua Velva, I tend to go light as it's pretty strong. With Ogallala Bay Rum, I may use a bit more

i'll use way more if i'm trying to load up on scent.. but pretty much i make sure i'm fully covering any area i shaved.. usually a couple shakes in the palm to get my face covered.. and then again to cover my neck..

It is one of the things in life that you just have to figure out yourself, by starting low and adding until you have enough.

    Gentlemen:

The amount of aftershave applied is about as personal as any other aspect of traditional shaving: apply as little or as much as you want. Also, the amount for me depends on which aftershave. Those with lime notes will probably require a little more that, say, Spanish Leather. If I were to follow a general rule, it would be a one-half teaspoon serving.

    Regards,

    Obie

Gee Obie, you phrase that like we were gonna drink the stuff.

Hmm... you just gave me an idea. I have this bottle of Bay Rum from Jamaica and it says on the bottle it's made from only two ingredients, Bay Oil Extract and Sugar Cane Alcohol.

    I think I'm getting thirsty.
