Default Got My Clubman Bay Rum Today!

    Hey Guys,

I finally found a local Walgreen's that had the Clubman BR! They had 2 bottles on the shelf, and both were dusty, so it should be aged properly! Couldn't wait to get home, so I cracked the bottle open out in the parking lot! Smells like Christmas to me! Hopefully the sweet smell will be different when applied, but I'm going to give it a shot anyway!

I also took time to give some of the other AS a smell test and to my surprise Old Spice and Aqua Velva are statrting to grow on me! Looks like the shelves in my Den will be full in no time!

My local Walgreens has loads of the stuff. I wouldn't call it bay rum it's really clove scent. It's the only Clubman I like.

for some reason.. i always go back to the clubman bay rum.. it's by far my favourite scent.. even if it is mostly clove... and i get a heavy dose of cinnamon.

I wholeheartedly agree, it is very heavy on the cloves compared to other brands of bay rum. But the scent seems to settle nicely on my skin, leaving it feeling nice a couple minutes after application. Good stuff, but potent.... perhaps even more so than Pinaud...

I've been looking around my town for this stuff a while. I may have to expand to outlying areas. I truly dislike paying for shipping.

Be careful though. It's not always accurate. I tried that feature on the Walgreen's website and it sent me on a wild goose chase.

I would suspect that Walgreen's is toning down/preparing to discontinue their Pinaud Clubman products. A year or so ago, I could pick any Walgreen's around here and find not only Clubman AS but Bay Rum and in most of them Lilac Vegetal. The last I went out after the Bay Rum, it took me forever to find a store that had it. When I did finally stumble into a store that had it, I bought 3 bottles just in case. Hate to think about having to order this stuff on line but it certainly looks like the direction we're headed (ditto for single edge blades.)
