Thanked: 5Canoe anyone?
After sitting for a while reading posts on aftershave I remembered one I liked (smelling, too young to shave)in the 80's. Canoe aftershave. Can't remember but I think local drug stores use to sell it. Now, I can't find it anywhere but on the net. Does anyone use it? What do you think. It's been close to 30 years since I've had the pleasure.

I have a bottle of the Canoe edt. It's a clone of Pinaud Clubman, it's just not as strong and I wear it sometimes. I picked mine up at Walmart in the cologne isle, but I've not seen the after shave.

I remember the scent.
Now it's something else I have to get.

Love the scent; citrus and clean. I remember it being rather expensive back in the day but it's the one "go-to" fragrance I use on a regular basis.

Canoe was popular in the early 60's. *I had a date with an old girlfriend (old, we were 16) and prior to picking her up I was hanging out with a couple of friends at one of their houses until time to go. Heck, we didn't know anything about cologne, aftershave or anything else. One of them said I should wear canoe and went to bathroom and brought it back. I spread a little on my face and it was great. We set and talked and after awhile I couldn't smell it anymore so I went and put some more on. This happened a third time. *We didn't know you could get used to a smell and then not notice it anymore. *It was time to pick her up. By the time I got to her house the fresh air had cleared my nostrils and I smelled like I had fallen in a vat of canoe. We had to keep the windows down on the car (a Corvair) and it still gave us a headache. Date didn't last long and I never used canoe again. I still feel sick thinking about it. That was 1963. *True story!
