    Default Floïd After Shave

I KNOW there'd be hundreds of thousands of threads about this and fossil records show they've been around for tens of thousands of years, but I just got some; all the way from the Emerald Isle, and I need to rave about it for a bit...

It arrived tonight and I opened the package and put rather a lot on my face. My 14 year old son, who is a harsh critic (of everything) liked it. So did I. Is it possible, is it just entirely possible, that this is nicer than Clubman?

I can't work out what it smells like. At first I thought butter scotch cough lollies. Maybe cough syrup. What's that sweet smell? And, like Clubman, it has substance. I note that both Clubman and Floïd have a listed ingredient being Evernia Furfuracea, being moss.

I like the fact that the largish cardboard box was printed almost all in Italian. I like the yellow colour but would prefer no colouration and a coloured bottle.

I don't like the fact my label was applied crookedly.

    I LIKE it...

There's lots of fans of this stuff especially the blue, but I just can't get over the price of the juice.

15 Euros (18 AU dollars) from shaving.ie, even with the postage to Australia to seems reasonable to me. Though of course I remember not too long ago 15 Euros would have been 30 bucks...

    carlmaloschneider,

I have used and like them all. My favorite is "The Genuine."

The "Suave" and the "Vigoroso" are great for use during the summer. They are a VERY cooling and refreshing finish to a shave.

Certainly are, actually, I was thinking it's a summer scent, and being that it's coming into autumn (fall) now I guess I should look for something wintery, I wonder what?

I've been meaning to try some Floid for a long time... hmm... maybe my next self-indulgent shaving purchase?

    carlmaloschneider,

Can you still find Pashana Original or Tabac in your neck of the woods?

I love the fragrance of both.

Tabac is pretty common here, I might give that a whirl...

Carl, my dear friend, I tried a bottle of Floid, in the Spanish version, some time ago. The fragrance reminded me of candy. So I ran around all day dying to lick my face.
jhenry, also my dear friend, Pashana is a warm barbershop fragrance I haven't been able to resist for years. It is one of my top five preferred aftershaves. I keep it around regularly.

    Dear Obie,
I love the stuff! I'm just this minute setting my son up for a Sunday morning shave around my place (he stayed over last night). I picked out the Schulze Wiener Schaber, the O Melhor and recommended the Floïd or the Clubman. He nearly fainted when I allowed him a sniff of each. No one in my family like either!
