Nice one evnpar! That took me back when I seen it. "I got my Johnson's Baby powder and Coolwater cologne" I used that scent for years! Thank you for reminding me, on my list again.
Today's scent for me was a spring cleaning find. Gillette's Wild rain, it has a Old spice scent but different. Nice one actually!Attachment 286190

Aloha!
Today I was called out on an emergency run and didn't have time to shave. Around noon, I could not stand it any longer, could not get home, and pulled out my emergency Dop kit from my trunk. I carry everything in there for an emergency grooming. I have a safety razor, Suprmax Titanium blades, Cremo cooling shave cream with synth brush, travel mirror et al. I was however OUT of aftershave. So I stopped into a drug store and got a bottle of Aqua Velva classic. I then used a bathroom at one of my stops to do an emergency shave and freshen-up. This background is important.
So I splashed on Aqua Velva today and that was my fragrance of the day.
Now, you'd think that a cheap drug store scent would not garner much approval. Oh contraire mon ami. I got more complements today than when I go with the upscale scents. Actually, Clubman is close, but Aqua Velva gets the prize for complements on how I smelled post shave. I've certainly worn Skin Bracer before, usually after using Arko Stick for the soap, but that drug store fragrance didn't get any complements from the ladies. Aqua Velva really raised that bar on the complement quotient.
A few gentlemen entered the public bathroom as I was finishing up and one said, "That smells great. What is is?" He laughed when I said, "Aqua Velva". I'm sure he was expecting me to say something exotic, and not a generic off the shelf drug store splash on aftershave.
