Thanked: 0Aftershave alcohol %
Hello Gents
I tried searching for an answer to my questions, but alas...noting
Can anyone tell me the alcohol % that is needed to disinfect the skin? I'm currently experimenting with trying to mix the alcohol with ice water. It should prevent some of the burn and it feels so damn good with cold water on the face afterwards

My bottles of vintage aftershaves have a 52% alcohol content=104proof! Some higher.

Thanked: 20I personally don't use alcohol based aftershave but I would think you would want to start light and keep adding until you go just over not liking it any more! Tailor it to your own skin that way! Oh and tell us how it works!

Thanked: 0Time for an update:
I tried mixing 50% water and 50% aftershave. The burn was almost nonexistent and it felt semi-cold, which was nice. I'm currently thinking of using an icepack afterwards and then undilluted aftershave, to get it even colder.
Will update when I buy the icepacks
