    Default Looking for new aftershave recommendations

    Alt Innsbruck- great menthol
    Dr Harris sandalwood- last long
    Osage rub- most menthol scent wears off

    First three that come to mind that remind me of AV in feel. Then of course there is always Pinaud

    I've tried various ones, including good ol' AV, thanks to suggestions from SRP posts. Below are some good ones that I like:
    * Old Spice, Classic
    * Old Spice, True Sport
    * Pinaud, Clubman Original
    * Pinaud, Clubman Virgin Island Bay Rum
    * Pinaud, Lilac Vegetal

    I'm not ready to recommend any of these because they are newly added to my collection. I've just picked up DR Harris Sandalwood. It seems strong so I'll have to see if I can make a go of it. But it does seem like a great one. The other one I picked up today was Captains Choice Cat O Nine Tails Bay Rum. Imagine their traditional bay rum with a strong shot of licorice and molasses. After a few minutes it seems to settle down to a traditional bay rum. Last was something that I got a quick sample of in the store but had to order online since it was out of stock - Portland General Store, Whiskey Aftershave. It's a splash but not an alcohol splash. The scent seemed really good and seemed to continue to evolve over an hour or so on the back of my hand. All three seem like winners. I've used DR Harris products and Captains in the past. I trust they will be quality items. The wild card is the PGS product. I'm intrigued.

    +1 for Captain's Choice Bay Rum. It's my favourite so far.

    It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
    This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.
