Thread: Anyone ever try American Crew shaving oil?

My haircutter gave me some for Christmas and I tried it for the first time last night. It has a heavy clove fragrance to it and when I applied it I could REALLY feel it. It was strong. Best way I can describe it is that it made my face burn, but not in a bad way, it was pleasant and felt very good. Applied some before my lather, put some in my lather, and then after I finished I applied a little more and went over and did up some minor touch ups using only the oil as lubricant. I really liked this stuff.

That's the main one that I use. I use it as a pre shave though, not to shave with by itself. I quite like it.

How would you describe that "burn" feeling I was talking about lol. Thats the best way I could put it.

Like a menthol or eucalyptus, I think. It feels like that to me anyway
