Thread: How do you apply witch hazel?

So how do you go about it? I got to thinking about this last night and figured it would be interesting to see. Do you splash it on like aftershave or do you apply it with a cotton ball like cleaning your face?

The same way you'd apply aftershave.

You can use either method: splash or cotton swab. I prefer splashing it on like aftershave.

Some WH bottles provide application instructions if you're interested in their recommendation. The instructions on my Thayer's WH bottle indicate that you should apply it on your face with a cotton ball; this is the typical application method for facial toners.

Well I've used both methods. I just wondered what you guys did to apply the stuff.

I fill up the sink with WH and then dunk my face in. I used to use my bath tub, but my current apartment doesn't have one.

LOL I bet you go through it pretty fast.

Get an alum block, they look cool, last a lifetime... and have a strange but addicting taste without the funky smell.

You could get a spray bottle and spray it on directly to your face or on your hand for economical use. Me? I just pour it into my hand and apply it to my face.

I apply it just like after shave.
