    lindyhop66,

I believe the amber is the original version.

As noted previously, it has a talcum powder scent.

I'm a huge Floid suave fan. It's menthol'y goodness is quite refreshing in the summer time.

I love amber. I use it everyday more as a face conditioner than a final aftershave. I find the scent wears off really quickly, so if something important is on I'll put something else on over it.
I love the smell of shaving cream in the morning!

lately i have been using floid blue. i found a u.s. seller that had split the 400 ml bottle into smaller 100 ml sizes. i didnt want 400ml of any aftershave...i like to change them and the 100 ml bottle was perfect.
really a nice powdery type scent to it. even my young 6 yr old daughter said it smelled nice after i spritzed some on.

Floid Blue is great. As others have mentioned it is similar to Aqua Velva, which is awesome. They're in the same ball park scent wise. Since you're asking about Floid, I would say Floid amber is more barbershop-like I guess.

Much nicer than Aqua Velva to my nose. I can't tell any similarities.

You can't go wrong with Clubman or Floid Original...SWMBO loves the Floid Amber and I'm quite fond of it as well. It'll always be a staple in my selection of scents
