Thanks Iceni! I did not know that, the originals on mine were black with MOP inlay, unfortunately the end of one of the scales near the pivot was somehow partially melted by the previous owner....great blade though!
Yes, the other Dovo looks like the Bismarck.
And Valery at the Gentleman's Den did the scales...

Thanked: 21It's a beautiful razor, it is a little awkward stropping it though ! The way the shank is, it's different than my other razors and is just a little awkward stropping !

A simple 13/16"-, thin full Hollow Ground without Number.
A No.518 with decorated Back and a french Point, 6/8"-, thin grounded with gold wash/etching.
Scales are made of Feaux-Ivorine with Inlay.
A simple 5/8", thin grounded and i love the dull finish of the black plastic scales

Looks to be in good shape. It should clean up and shave very well
The patina doesn't look too deep I would give it a quick polish with something like Autosol or mothers and see what it looks like before you think about stripping it. Chances are it'll come straight up to a nice finish without needing to be fully restored.Last edited by Iceni; 07-08-2014 at 08:25 PM.
