Picked up my second straight, and it's a beautiful 6/8" Spanish Point in Stainless with Rosewood and etched spine. I ordered it direct from Ralf Aust, who was nice enough to answer my email inquiry about shipping to the states himself, and in a very timely fashion. Shipping was 11.50 Euro, and of course I didn't have to pay tax. I placed my custom order February 12th, sent funds with Paypal, and it was delivered to me in the USA on the 25th, which I thought was incredible. I haven't used it yet. I'm first giving myself time to learn and practice using a very nicely restored 1920's Böker I bought from a forum member here (it's going great!). I was surprised how much heftier the Aust was compared to the Böker.
As a former inhabitant of Solingen (sadly when I was a very young man and ignorant of both good kitchen steel as well as anything but cartridge shaving), I knew I wanted my shavers to come from the City of Blades, and after my searching I knew I wanted Rasiermessermanufaktur Aust to make mine. I will not acquire RAD. I will not. I will not. I have everything I and any potential children I might someday sire will ever need right here, forever.
Sorry I'm not a better photographer.

@RobinK
Love the scales
Would you describe their makeup?
Patience, Dave, patience. They will be officially announced shortly, I think. I would be quite surprised if everybody's favourite US based razor shop did not carry them shortly afterwards.
Any road, that is silver. I'll leave it to the artist to comment on the specifics in due course.
Must be good if you are endorsing them Robin, if I were in the market for a new production razor, it would be a Ralf Aust.
