Why don't you? Solingen is just an hour and a half away, too. Horse's mouth and all that. And both cities are equally impressive in their own way.

A late Christmas present to myself. I've had this a few days now. Upon receiving it, it was a very impressive razor. The finish on it is really outstanding. There are no clumsy spots. The horn is polished to a mirror finish, inside washers, and upper and lower jimps. I asked that it not be honed as I would prefer to do that myself. The factory edge was quite good, definitely shave ready. But I prefer my edges really polished. And this took a fantastic edge. The bevel was very consistent across the blade and it made great contact with the stone. Finally today I used it. Great shave, great edge. The edge was very fine but not the least bit harsh. It was not cheap but it delivered in quality.

Excellent razor ! Very beautiful and the best of two worlds IMHO. I have those horn scales and also Spanish point blade, but not together like yours, they're in different configurations. Nothing beats an Aust razor ! Enjoy

I have one very similar to yours. It is a great shaver. You will enjoy this blade.

So far so good. It honed up really nice and shaves just as nice. It's a great shaver. The due is really efficient and very smooth. No irritation and leaves nothing behind. Just finished my second shave with it and I'm still very impressed.

Really getting curious about trying one of these. I've got so many razors and sadly, only one face with which to share them, that I keep telling myself No.

I'll probably cave in sooner or later. I like the smaller razors, and the 5/8 is certainly affordable.

I've got a new 5/8 coming to me by way of SRD i ordered yesterday. A late christmas gift to myself. Had a few SR I was going back and forth on but I kept hearing from folks how much they enjoyed shaving with their RA. To say i am excited is ad understatement. I keep checking my email and SRDs website to see if it shipped yet but I have to tell myself to be patient you only ordered it yesterday.
