The scales are taking shape! Hopefully the pins arrive today, I'll shape the wedge and I'll be finished.
Fairy tales are more than true; not because they tell us that dragons exist, but because they tell us that dragons can be beaten.

They have turned out well Ulricus - better than the drawing suggested anyway.
My service is good, fast and cheap. Select any two and discount the third.

Yup - the Ottoman is on mine...and have a Masonic W&B and a, "Celebrated Fine India Steel Set Ready for Use" on the blade face in the shop now. The Ottoman, aside from some pics on here, never seen one before on eBay or anywhere else....but then again, never expected to see a George Brittain Iron Cross either...so patience and keep on looking....

Perhaps a bit tacky, but I thought I'd post my own 'brunoblade'
I have never kept a blade I made. Even my first blade was sold. For me, the gratification is in making a razor. Truth be told, I shave with a new razor once a week so it's not like I'd have much time to enjoy a large rotation
In any case, Max and I decided to make a razor together to commemorate the victory of Belgium over the US in the soccer world series. I made the blade and ground it, max did the polishing and made the scales. My daughters were so impressed that I had to promise not to sell it so now I do have a razor of my own. The design was something I was playing with at the time and which needs further work. It was called 'predator', and this one was the original design. I think I'll work a bit more on that design in the future. I think I can do some more things with that concept.

Stunning Bruno, I love the detailing along the jimps and the tail.
"Predator" also has football connotations for me - as a kid I dreamed of owning a pair of Adidas Predator boots!
