Well I received my wootz razor from Bruno a few weeks ago. I was too busy with school to start the scales. I originally wanted to use ivory, but the only source I found turned out to be the rudest individual I've ever had to deal with. I decided to use some cocobolo that harrywally gave me. It has beautiful contrast of red and white. I glued the wedge on one side, and found out quickly it wasn't positioned properly and would not move after the initial contact. Bummer, but they turned out good all the same. Probably the best set of wood scales I've ever made!

Sorry they are upside down, I'm using my phone.

Looks good even upside down. I'm glad to see the thread still running - I suppose I should visit more often.

Guys, I can't stress this enough. This wootz blade is by far, the best razor ive ever used. The edge it took after the 1k was silently tree topping arm hair! It's expensive, but not my most expensive razor, however it is the best performing razor I own. All I can say is, WOW!

Merry Christmas everybody! With the help of my 2 daughters, and my wife on the camera, I just raffled away 2 Damascus razors among everyone who bought one of my Damascus or wootz razors this year.

The winners are Richie Peralta and David Waterfill!

This was a fun thing to do and I am going to do the same again in 2017.

There are few people in this world as generous and caring as Bruno. He is the definition of a gentle man and a friend.

    Thank you very much.
