My first was a Dovo 5/8 Best Quality, learned on that one and a few others as I found my way.

But what I consider to be my first real straight, that still to this day is my favourite razor, and started my on-going admiration for all things Sheffield, was this Wade and Butcher, 9/8, Celebrated Hollow Ground Razor,For Barbers Use, spike point in black horn. It is always a treat to use this blade and it delivers everytime.

    It completes me.

My first this go around, 30 years ago with no internet I tryed with a POS like a Gold Dollar and I thought I could hone it ,, so when I came back around, I bought this Dovo Best from SRD , broke the scales , and a very nice guy( Bill, Pixelfixed, ya he can be nice Lol) offered to fix it.

Well now I still have it, I don't do round points any more , and I have fallen into the Custom razor world, but I have the only Ivory Scaled Dovo best Quality on Mother Earth! So I keep it and take it out every now and , because with a Gssixgun edge , it's still a great shaver! Plus I had to have one of Bills brushes, man that's another hole I've slipped into, I might have more than most people of his and Walleyemans brushes. The AD,s are something else. Tc
