Thanks Michael -- That looks like a nice heavy grind! All in all a good looking razor. Hope you enjoy it.

So far very much so. It holds a edge and has been a great shave. Has that squeegee effect that I was warned about as compared to a full hollow. But has a nice heft to it and plows through the facial hair with ease.

Very nice looking razor. I live in Portland, and have had the pleasure of visiting Scott and the gang on a couple of occasions. Scott is a stand-up fellow, is very welcoming of visitors, has always been quick to respond to my questions or concerns, and has done a terrific job with PRC. I've enjoyed the one razor that he did for me, and anticipate that I'll be ordering a custom razor from him in the near future. I'm sure that you'll enjoy that beauty.

Another PRC in the making! I ordered a Leviathan with burl scales and double pinned. Hopefully a few months out from now will have in hand!

Default PRC Leviathan with buckeye burl scales

Well today the USPS delivered the anticipated Leviathan with buckeye burl scales with a double pinned wedge. The shave was just as great as the looks of the razor. Really happy to have a second PRC in the rotation!

Eugh! I just realised the duty and tax costs for my purchases from PRC, amounts to around 30% + mark up; still, I think when compared to similar style European and other US makers my purchase looks good value.

What IS the 'squeegee' effect exactly??
