Sooner or later I'll get one of Gary's WB's!!! Very nice Fred!

Here is my request for entrance into the club. This beauty was pictured on this site earlier by Dewey. I purchased it from him at our DFW meeting on May 3. The scales are from Traveller, and these are his pics.

OK, here's my 'newest' Butcher courtesy of Gary's expertise-
a nice 'new' Barbers Use blade!

Howdy ya'll. These are my humble entries into the Butcher Shop. My 1st 3 restos, and I wasn't sure about posting them in the restoration forum, but I'm happy to post them here (still pretty proud).
The 1st 2 are an 8/8 "for barbers use" wedge in bloodwood, and a 7/8 1/4 (?) hollow in purpleheart.

The 3rd is an 8/8 marked"for gentlemans use", in purpleheart.. I haven't seen that stamp before, and if any of you can give me any info on this blade, that'd be pretty cool.

Hey... I was hoping maybe someone could give me a hand figuring out the age and value of these babies? I'm going to have to sell two more of my razors to bring me down to 7 and I'm trying to decide on which ones I want to part with least. :P

This is is mt W&B wedge (or very, very shallow ground) It doesn't really show in the picture (though I tried to use as harsh of lighting as possible in some of these to show the faults) but the blade has a fairly large, faint engraving on it with a set of wings, two shields and the words "Commerce Freedom & Strength United"
The scales are a bit beaten...





This one here is a hollow ground W&B, the only markings for it are on the tang and read..."Wade and Butcher For Barber Use" The scales have a couple scratches.



So, what do you think? Any ideas or comments at all are appreciated.

Hard to say.....I was just looking through my W&B album and I've paid anywhere from $11 on Ebay for one is decent original condition up to $120 with a complete restoration and custom scales. I collect and use the W&B's and would be interested in both if you decide to sell. Sorry I can't help more with the price. As for dates, I'd guess late 1800's on the first one and early 1900's or so on the other. My razor books are packed up right now so I can't even look that much up for you....best of luck!
