Just because its not common or doesn't look like like other similar models doesn't mean it didn't happen. Check out the pic of my silver combined with India steel pic below- I've never seen such a notch on any other W&B... But it was factory.., I also have multiple India steel sway backs.... All have completely different notches, all are original.

Not making a judgment call, just a guess. I was going more on the shape of the thumbnotches - they look a bit crude for Wade and Butcher, and that I've handled a few double thumbnotch razors that were roughly ground post-factory. But that's certainly not to say they didn't exist, and it's hard to tell for sure. On the India steel razor, that style of hollow point appears a lot on the older models of WB, Greaves, Rodgers. It's one of my favorite points.
