Amazing thread, my grandfather shaved with a W&B. It has been a quest for a few months now, to obtain a decent straight razor to refinish. Just won one on eBay today, got lucky refinished with horn scales. He didn't mention it was a W&B in the eBay ad...his bad. Got it for 60$ I will post flicks when it hits my mailbox!

Very nice, they all look like they would clean up very well, are the scales in good condition? Are they shave ready?

Particularly like the W&B with the thumb notch...

I haven't honed any of the W&bs...... I am thinking of sending some in for a possible restore back to as original as possible. Most of the Scales are in good shape. Could use some TLC. I like the one with the thumb notch too.... It's different for sure...

I send all my razors to a fellow member here at SRP, Valery at the Gentleman's Den, he's done all the restore's and honing of my blades. I highly recommend him, I will PM you his info.

Thanks..... That one is different looking for sure. I wonder why it was made like that? To look different? Does that design serve a function? It is cool looking though.....lol

There was a reason for it. They just don't make one a certain way for no reason. I suppose it was so that it could still have the barber's notch but could have a little more reach at the end of the blade. It's hard to say what they were thinking unless it is found documented in a book somewhere as to why it was made that way.

Awesome looking razors, restored in an awesome way! What's the scale material on the top/first razor?
