Thanked: 0Amazing thread, my grandfather shaved with a W&B. It has been a quest for a few months now, to obtain a decent straight razor to refinish. Just won one on eBay today, got lucky refinished with horn scales. He didn't mention it was a W&B in the eBay ad...his bad. Got it for 60$ I will post flicks when it hits my mailbox!

I suppose it was so that it could still have the barber's notch but could have a little more reach at the end of the blade. It's hard to say what they were thinking unless it is found documented in a book somewhere as to why it was made that way.
